On the occasion of the Salone del Mobile 2024, Connubia presents Ops!, a seat that represents an important step toward sustainable design. Designed by Archivolto Studio, Ops! is a perfect example of how innovation and respect for the environment can coexist harmoniously.
Design and Innovation
The design of Ops! is distinguished by its soft, enveloping lines that express a unique visual freshness.
The truly revolutionary element is the material it is made of. Ops! uses an innovative post-consumer recycled material, obtained from the recovery of tetrapak cartons, known for their complex structure composed of paper, plastic and aluminum.
Using state-of-the-art technology, we have turned this waste into a valuable resource, without compromising on the aesthetic and structural quality of the product.
A virtuous circle
Each seat represents a concrete contribution to waste reduction: it only takes 600 tetrapak cartons to make a chair with arms and 500 cartons for the version without arms.
This virtuous cycle transforms waste materials into an elegant and sturdy object capable of maintaining very high mechanical and structural performance.
The versions
Ops! is available in two main versions: one in recycled tetrapak with a sophisticated sand-colored finish, and another in 100% recycled polypropylene, declined in a wide range of natural colors such as white, black, hemp, taupe, and earth. Both options offer a choice of models with or without armrests to meet different aesthetic and functional needs.
