The entirely green armchair has won over the NeoCon jury in Chicago.

Best of NeoCon is the official awards program for the NeoCon trade fair (Chicago, USA) which honors the most innovative and outstanding designs from exhibiting companies every year.

Best of NeoCon was launched in 1990 and this year's edition featured entrants from 54 product categories assessed by a diverse jury of almost 50 architects, designers, specifiers and facility managers with expertise in the commercial, healthcare, education and hospitality sectors.

Entirely crafted from recycled materials, Reef is one of the latest additions to Connubia and it marks a new chapter in sustainable innovation. Each single part of Reef reflects a circular economy outlook, from the frame made up of timber sourced from certified FSC® forests (FSC-C002023) to the padding consisting of two sustainable materials. However, the true innovation resides in the upholstery: a material obtained from plastic waste salvaged from our seas and beaches with a repurposing scheme that makes use of post-consumer plastic that would otherwise end up on landfill sites.
